The 4th Quarter (“T4Q,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a sports and entertainment business media company. We publish a newsletter, produce social and video content, and operate a website. This Privacy Policy explains how T4Q, as the publisher, collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information from our subscribers and website visitors.
This policy applies to data collected and processed by T4Q in our capacity as the publisher. It is separate from and supplemental to the privacy policy of beehiiv, Inc., our email service provider, which governs beehiiv’s own data practices as a platform.
Information You Provide Directly
Email address (provided at signup)
Name (if provided)
Self-reported professional information such as job title, role, and industry segment (collected via our subscriber welcome survey)
Information Collected Automatically
Email engagement data, including open rates, click-through rates, and link interactions
Device and browser type used to read our communications
Approximate geographic location derived from IP address
Website browsing behavior on T4Q-owned web properties (pages viewed, time on page)
Information Obtained from Third-Party Sources
We may enrich subscriber records using third-party data services (such as Apollo.io) to append professional information, including company name, job title, and industry classification. This enrichment is used solely for internal audience segmentation and is never shared at the individual level.
T4Q uses collected information for the following purposes:
To deliver our newsletter and content to your inbox
To personalize and improve the content we produce
To analyze audience engagement and measure editorial performance
To segment our audience by professional demographics (e.g., industry, seniority level) for internal editorial and business planning
To produce aggregated, anonymized audience demographic reports for current and prospective advertising and sponsorship partners
To communicate service updates, changes to this policy, or other administrative matters
We do not sell, rent, license, or share individual subscriber data with any third party, including advertisers, sponsors, or brand partners.
When working with advertising or sponsorship partners, T4Q shares only aggregated, anonymized audience demographic information (e.g., “40% of our subscribers are C-suite executives in the sports industry”). No individual names, email addresses, or personally identifiable information is disclosed.
Service Providers
We engage the following categories of service providers who process data on our behalf and under our instruction:

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
